I am Alex Long, President of Long & Associates. I started Long & Associates to provide clients with a quality crafted home or project that met their needs and desires, while creating good friendships. I enjoy the fulfillment and creative outlet of building, and pared with the setting of the Outer Banks; there are not too many things I would rather be doing. With that being said, I am a hands-on builder. Typically doing a majority of the work myself or with a small group of assembled craftsmen, I only take on a few projects each year. My attention to detail and quality of work is reflected in each one of my projects, and has earned the respect of my clients.
I am a Hands On builder. I typically do no more than one to two houses a year and do as much of the work myself or with a small crew. I have found home building to be a great creative outlet for me. I have built houses all along the Outer Banks coast from Corova, Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head. I enjoy my work and take the utmost pride in my craftsmanship.
